We have represented and advised the purchasers on the acquisition of the part completed Unit J at the Glenmore Business Park, Portfield, Chichester. Contracts have been exchanged to acquire the freehold of the 22,000 sqft warehouse which was due to be completed in September but the contractor was put into liquidation. This called for further legal advice on contractors warranties. Completion of the purchase is expected in the autumn when the new contractors complete the construction.

Acting on behalf of a private pension fund we have agreed the letting of 756 sqft of first floor offices on the main access road into Chichester at 2 Dukes Court. The private tenant has taken a 6 year lease at £13.50 per sqft.

We have agreed the letting of a 3,600 sqft storage building at Unit 1a Keynor Farm, Sidlesham. The 26,000 sqft former horticultural packhouse has been subdivided and leased in parts. A consortium of former growers still own the building.

The new tenant has relocated from the very busy Terminus Road Industrial Estate in Chichester.

The ladies fashion retailer Lilli Boutique has taken an opportunity to break their lease on the small shop at 3 Little London in Chichester. So acting for private investors we have quickly agreed a new letting to local coffee retailer Ben Tanner who operates as Tides Coffee Ltd. Ben has successfully operated from a mobile coffee van in nearby Drapers Yard. However he was finding winter trading conditions difficult despite having a substantial customer base and keen followers. So he has taken the decision to take the next step into a a permanent base at the entrance into the Marks & Spencer car park.
